I had planned to post my Valentines Day card yesterday, but after working a 12-hour shift at the hospital, I came home and pretty much crashed. I'd found a blog challenge that I wanted to participate in, and wanted to share the card with you. It is with The Paper Players - Challenge #179 (check them out by clicking on their name above).
The requirements were to make a one layer Valentine card. Embellishments had to be kept to a minimum - I hope I didn't go over - I find it is hard sometimes to limit the "stuff" on my cards. I've never entered a challenge before, so linking back to the challenge and linking my card to that site is all new to me. If I am able to figure this out - I will certainly enter more.
Sweet little Valentine card.
I do like the idea of a one layer card, when you want something simple and easy to make. For this card, all I did was run a strip of Season of Style Designer Washi Tape (from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Occasions catty), across a folded piece of Whisper White card stock. I scored the front of the card across the top and bottom (hard to see in the photo - sorry), stamped my sentiment, die cut a little heart, embossed it with an embossing folder, and put it on the front of the card.....voila! Quick & easy peasy!! If you have a ton of "Valentines," think how quickly you could whip these out.
Very cute card, Nancy! I'm so happy you picked us for your first challenge! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!
